Painting a Galaxy

A couple weeks ago I texted my bestie’s daughter about an art collab. I said hey, let’s paint something. She asked what, I said your choice, and she picked galaxies.

So we painted galaxies.

Choices

I’ve decided to transfer to the other store in our area. So I’m not entirely laid off, but I’ll only be working two days a week there. And I won’t be with my family

I’m going to be on the lookout for something else. Maybe I could work at a bookstore. Maybe I could go back to phlebotomy. Maybe I could work for the local arts council.

Idk.

A Resolution

I’ve finally thought up a New Year’s resolution.

I’m going to make every birthday card I give this year.

Psst…it’s my sister’s birthday next week.

A Little Chilly

This morning the cats were not happy with the state of the water on the back porch.

Merry Christmas

I hope each and every one of you had as lovely a day as I did, whether with friends or family or peacefully home alone.

A Lovely Saturday Evening

Everyone left today. It was glorious. My husband went to work and my mother took a nap and it was just me and the cats, who were snoozing merrily. So I sat at the dining room table all by myself, and I practiced calligraphy and listened to ambient music for an hour.

And then I made meatloaf and the broccoli and cheese sauce that I forgot to make on Thanksgiving. It was delicious.
