Little Women Readalong Announcement!Posted: November 15, 2016
Have you ever read Little Women? I have not. I’ve started a time or two, but my largest experience with the story was when the movie played on the bus from Edmonton to Yellowknife. I didn’t really watch it; I spent more time reading T.S. Eliot and Leonard Cohen, or looking out the window while listening to George Thorogood.
So next month, while I’m rushing around like a chicken with its head cut off at work, I’m going to spend some of my precious spare time listening to the audio book to read along with Stephanie at Adventures of a Bibliophile.
I’ve been saying this for years, but this Christmas, I will be reading Little Women by Louisa May Alcott. I have never read it in its entirety (though I have seen the movie several times), and it’s been on my TBR since my TBR has existed (in all of its forms). I now own three copies – though I’m planning on donating one of them – including a beautiful vintage edition. It needs to happen. I have no excuse.
Because this is such a holiday classic, I decided to sponsor a readalong for everyone who would like to read Little Women with me this year. It’s going to be super low-key, but it will be cool to have people to talk about it with as we read.
