Happy Mardi Gras!

Tonight Abby and I took a selfie while waiting for the Krewe of Asclepius to roll.

It was a tiny parade, but definitely worth it, especially since it was the only one we’ve been able to bring Abby to this season. We brought home two bags of throws, including beads, two tshirts, a moon pie, a dozen cups, and a stuffed plush banana.

And we followed it up with a trip to Olive Garden, where the service was atrocious. Same problem we had with this waiter last time we had him–no refills and he failed to put the appetizer order in and then tried to bs his way out of it. Waiting tables is not for everyone, and it’s hard to put one over on people who have put their time in the food service industry. We know when you’re blaming the kitchen to cover yourself.

But beads, yay!

I guess Mardi Gras in your part of the world is akin to Ash Wednesday in ours ?
Happy MG day too and happy beading !

You two are so cute! In the UK we celebrate Shrove Tuesday and everyone has pancekes… although the majority of us are not actually buying into Lent. We just like pancakes.
